With the Hindu festival of Diwali happening over the next couple of days, the air in this holy city is full of religious fervor. (Sorry if I mispelled that, Aunt Lydia). :) So there are lots of folks who set up stands on the streets selling gods.
If you need an extra god, this is a good time of year to buy one.
If you bargain extra hard, you can get your god for extra cheap.
If the god you want is a little banged up, they will touch up the paint on your god for free.
Hmmmm. My God is not like that.

So do they have god sales? Two-for-ones? Do you find god coupons in the newspaper? Is the store called Gods-R-Us? Here's another question: if god is simple enough that you could buy one from a corner store, wouldn't it just be cheaper to make one out of sticks and mud? At least you went through some effort in the process ...
Lowell, that was just fine! :)
What cute little gods.
Do these folks actually buy a god and then worship it?
