Discouraging Office visits

The past few days have been discouraging for us.

We came to New Delhi to get a visa for Sam, and for Nora Grace (who just got a new passport, as her old one expired). For Nora Grace when she was born, the process took one long day. We have been at it for five days, and now we only have a thirty day visa for them.

On Friday, we were told to go to the airport with a letter from the (oddly named) Ministry of Home Affairs, and we would get six month visas there. So today, with air tickets in hand, and a letter directing the customs officials to give Sam and Nora Grace visas, they refused to do it and sent us back to Delhi.

After another long day in an office, we now have thirty day visas for the Sam and NGL, and then we have to figure out what to do after that.

Hopefully, we can still get to Kathmandu this week, and at least have Christmas at home, before tackling the Orwellian Offices again. We shall see.

After that, I guess our only option would be to go to Thailand and try to get a visa from there.

It seemed like a good day for Miriam and Sam to have the dierrhea.

So many people are praying for us. This is the LORDS doing.
