Remember Miriam tonight...

Miriam will be spending the night in the Hospital tonight (Minneapolis Children's Hosptital).

She had a Positive PPD (the test to see if you have been significantly exposed to Tuberculosis) last week, and so had a Chest X-Ray to see if she has Tuberculosis in her lungs).

The Chest X-Ray showed no active Tuberculosis.

But then one guy said, "Well, maybe there is a little scar there." And then someone else said, "Well, I don't know about the scarring, but maybe her lymph nodes are enlarged." But it wasn't real clear.

So she will spend the night in the Hospital, so that they can take samples from her stomach first thing tomorrow morning, to look for TB there. It is not clear to me what they will decide to do if there is not TB there.

Anyways, think about Miriam. The look on her face when she hears things, and the resignation mixed with resolution that she shows in her shoulders is unforgettable. She is my brave little trooper.
